Friday October 10th, 2008 The evolution of language among all creatures I find it fascinating that research shows that it's not only human language that evolves: the language of mammals and birds also evolves over time, and scientists are even finding that the language of fish, frogs and insects changes as a result of all kinds of factors including geography, environment and genetic mutation.
And regional dialects - such as the difference in accent between someone in New York City and someone in Atlanta - are very common among animals. Tags
